"Our daughter …benefited from the attention of a caring staff and small class sizes. It was a pleasure to watch her emotional and intellectual development" Simon Lane

Larool Pre-School is a community based, not-for-profit Pre-School licensed under the NSW Department of Community Services, Children, Care and Protection Act 1987. The Pre-School opened in July 1972 at the current premises, and since then has developed a sound reputation of providing excellent Pre-School education. It is nestled in picturesque bush land, with a playground as a neighbour. It accommodates 40 children daily in two generous sized classrooms, which face out to landscaped grounds. There are two shaded sandpits and a slide that can accommodate 3-4 friends at one time.
Our Pre-School offers children a safe and caring environment to dream and grow, whilst stimulating discovery and learning, in preparation for school years ahead. Our reputation in the local community is well established, and we now have many second generation students receiving the same caring and stimulating start to their formal education that their parents enjoyed.
The Pre-School is managed by a committee of dedicated parents who are elected onto the Management Committee at the AGM each February. The Committee acts on behalf of the members of the Association ie the parents, and aims to reflect the views of all users of the Pre-School.

Our pre-school is following "The Early Years Framework for Australia", our national early childhood curriculum. This document facilitates all planning and practice in our pre-school.
This focuses on supporting children's learning through play and exploring at their own level. For more information on this framework, click here.
Our Pre-School strives to create a warm and caring environment where children are encouraged to become independent learners through exploration of a stimulating indoor and outdoor environment. We believe in the value of periods of uninterrupted play, where children choose their own hands-on activities, combined with teacher directed sessions such as story time and music and movement.
We aim to give all our children the best start possible, by working in partnership with parents to develop confident individuals who experience caring, respectful relationships with peers, and staff who value them as individuals.
Vision
To offer an excellent pre-school educational experience that nurtures and develops the whole child.
Mission
To give our children the best possible start by providing quality learning programs which encourage independent learning through exploration. We will provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment to dream and grow. Working in partnership with parents as a community-based, non-profit concern, we will foster a sense of community and belonging.
Values
At Larool, we value:
The child as an individual (“individuality”)
The joy of discovery (“exploration”)
The creation of a sense of community and belonging (“partnership”)
The relationships we build (“respect”)
