MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
The Management Committee is responsible for the Pre-School and decides how the Pre-School will operate. The Management Committee employs a Director, an early Childhood educator, who is responsible for the operation of the Pre-School, and reports directly to the parent run committee. The Management Committee meets regularly, usually twice a term, so it can review the running of the Pre-School, discuss any issues arising and plan for future events.
The key functions of the Management Committee are to:
- Monitor the overall management of the Pre-School and make any necessary changes to improve efficiency
- Develop and implement policy for the Pre-School
- Ensure that the Pre-School operates in line with it’s policies
- Communicate information and decisions clearly within the Management Committee and to parents and staff
- Ensure that the Pre-School abides by all relevant rules and regulations
- Plan, monitor and manage the finances of the Pre-School
- Keep up to date records in line with legal and financial requirements
- Employ, manage and support staff in line with current industrial obligations
