TRIVIA & GAMES NIGHT 2011

Local businesses have donated their products and services for us to use to raise money at our Trivia and Games Night. We will use these items as prizes, in envelopes which can be purchased and in Silent and Live Auctions.

Envelopes

These will only be available for purchase on the night. They will be organised into 3 price categories:

- $2 Lucky Dip - $10 - $20

All envelopes will be displayed on a pin-board, and will list the name of the donating company and an indication of what is inside. If you buy a $10 envelope you can expect that your purchase will deliver an item between $20-$40 in value. If you purchase a $20 envelope you can expect something greater than $40 in value in return.

If you choose to have a lucky dip for $2, the item or voucher you receive will be generally worth less than $10, but you may be surprised. The difference with the lucky dip is that you are buying blind. The envelopes will not be identified and you will have to throw a dart at the board to select your envelope.

Auctions

There will be both Silent and Live Auction lots being sold at the Trivia & Games Night. This year, for some of the Auction items we will be giving people the opportunity to submit blind bids for items prior to the Trivia & Games night. This gives parents who are unable to attend on the night the opportunity to still purchase some of the wonderful stuff that will be available.

To submit a pre-blind bid, email the amount you want to pay for the item along with the item name and your contact details to splat@laroolpreschool.com.au.

These pre-blind bids will close at 4pm on Saturday 20th August (the day of the Trivia and Games Night). They will all be correlated prior to the doors opening at 7:30pm. The highest pre-blind bid will then become the starting bid for each auction item on the night. If someone on the night submits a higher bid then they will win the item, but if no-one submits a higher bid on the night, then the highest pre-blind bid will be the winner.

Live Auctions

There are 7 different Live Auction lots. They will be auctioned off by a live Auctioneer on the night.

	Lot1	Dinner and Theatre package - 2 tickets to the 2011 Season at the Riverside Theatre at Parramatta, donated by the Riverside Theatre, and $150 restaurant voucher donated by Amy Kaslar from L J Hooker, Thornleigh.
	Lot 2	Full Day Blue Mountains High Country Eco Tour for 2 people donated by Australian Wild Escapes.
	Lot 3	Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb for 1 person donated by BridgeClimb Sydney.
	Lot 4	Garden package including a compost bin, 4 hours landscaping labour donated by Landscapes Plus, one year's membership to Garden Clinic and a Hargraves Nurseryland voucher.
	Lot 5	Rugby League Football signed by Gary Freeman, Laurie Daley, Wendell Sailor and Ryan Phelan. Displayed ina perspex display case.
	Lot 6	Rugby Union Football signed by Phil Kearns, Rod Kafer, Greg Martin, Greg Clark, Brendan Cannon, Tim Horan and Nick McCardle. Displayed in a perspex display case.
	Lot 7	Pair of white leather boxing gloves signed by Danny Green, "The Green machine".
	Lot 8 and 9	2 x pairs of VIP tickets to your children's Christmas concert at the end of the year. Two lots, each containing 2 tickets for front row seats

Silent Auctions

There are 42 different Silent Auctions lots, including the Class Artworks. In a Silent Auction, bids are written on a bidding sheet, instead of shouted out. At the Larool Trivia & Games Night, each Silent Auction item will have a set Starting Bid, and bid increments must be no less than $5.

Some Silent Auction item will also be assigned a BUY IT NOW price. This is the price that you can pay to by-pass the auction function and purchase the item immediately. Unlike ebay, this function will remain even if an auction bid has been written down.

	Lot 16	Coffee Cruise donated by Captain Cook Cruises

	Lot 19	Toy pack including Mr Potato Head Toy Story edition, Criss Cross game, Bob the Builder 100 piece puzzle.
	Lot 20	Toy pack including bead set, Liv Hairstyle dolls, letter stencils and small kitchen utensils.
	Lt 21	Wooden Advent calendar with wooden drawers. Pack comes with Christmas swizzle sticks, plates, gift tabs and red wine.
