Our license and insurance allow us to operate between 9:00am and 3:00pm. A staff member will open the gate in the morning at 9:00am and children are to be collected by 3:00pm.
We discourage children from bringing chips, sweets, sweet biscuits, chocolate or other high fat/sugar products. This is the opportunity to start children on healthy eating patterns for school lunches. Some lunchtime suggestions include sandwiches, pocket bread, pita bread, rice cakes, dried fruits, fresh fruit, cheese, cold meats, carrots, tomatoes, cucumber, savoury biscuits and dip, rice/pasta salad, boiled eggs, muesli bar. All morning tea containers are kept in a cool. dry area and lunch boxes are kept in the refrigerator until break times. We send home uneaten food to show what the child has eaten.
Nut-Free Environment Policy
Larool Pre-School is a Nut Free Environment. To make our Pre-School environment as safe as possible, this policy states that children do not bring any nut products to Pre-School. Please be particularly aware of cross contamination, ie wash the child’s mouth, face and hands at home after having a nut product, as even a small smear could result in a life-threatening situation. Click here to download our Nut Free Statement.
A hat is compulsory for all children. Hats are necessary for your child to play outside, so children must come to Pre-school with a wide-brimmed hat each day.
