Welcome to our Pre-school!
Choosing a pre-school for your child is an exciting time! It is the start of a new era in your child’s life. These initial experiences set the pattern for years to come.
Families looking for a pre-school for your young child want to feel connected, safe, celebrated and know that their child is getting the best possible start to their early learning education!
Larool Pre-school is that special place that so many children and their parents have come to know and love. It is a place of wonder for children, where they are able to engage in endless opportunities. Play is valued, voices are singing, children are engaged in creative movement and music making. Artistic expression is celebrated, academics are stimulating and fun, curiosity, excitement, wonder and imagination are nurtured. This all happens in an environment which allows your child to develop their own unique self.
Larool Pre-school, our community: a place of laughter and joy, of friends and memories.

About Us
Larool Pre-school is proudly a not-for-profit community owned and operated pre-school. Opening in July 1972, the pre-school aims to reflect the values of the community in all its diversity. We are licensed by NSW Department of Education.
We are committed to excellence in the provision of care and educational programs for our children.
Our fees are comparative to those of long day care including no fees charged for public holidays or during school holidays.
We provide improved educator: child ratios with our experienced and highly qualified educators being lead by a university qualified early childhood teacher in each room. Educators work closely together in partnership with families to give each individual child a quality education where potentials are realised.
Our educational program and environment encourages, inspires and enhances learning. We recognise each child’s potential and provide them with opportunities to explore, question, analyse and wonder - building an amazing basis for lifelong learning. We provide an outstanding education focused on inquiry-based learning with the goal of fostering confident, respectful, creative and responsible community members. We believe in the development of the whole child with all areas of development and growth being interrelated and are of equal value. Children learn and grow as whole individuals through a balance between exploration, play and structure.
The Pre-school is managed by a parent run Management Committee- the pre-school is run by the community for the community. There are many opportunities for families to become involved.

Our Beautiful Environment
Our Pre-school is situated in a beautiful leafy setting. The neighbouring reserve is home to wildlife including brush turkeys and water dragons! The Pre-school is bordered by a small playground which is often the location for impromptu play dates for the children and parents before or after their Pre-school sessions.
Both our rooms are spacious, bright and presented to the children to invite interest, exploration, discovery and wonder. We have a balance of quiet and active areas, different surfaces and textures which encourages natural curiosity, allowing time and space to explore and discover their environment at their own pace, and to learn through self-selected, self-directed play-based experiences, independently or with peers. This approach is based on the principles of respect, responsibility and community, through exploration and discovery in a supportive and enriching environment, based on the interests of the children.
Our outdoor environment provides a balance of spaces to run, climb and be loud, as well as quiet spaces for investigating, stories and creativity; all providing experiences that the children need to explore and make sense of the world. Within the outdoor environment are different terrains, all of which naturally challenge and develop children's motor skills, improving balance and co-ordination.
The environment has a deep impact on learning. Both inside and outside environments create different learning opportunities which are key to shape and stimulate learning. The use of resources with choices of natural and man-made materials are organised to encourage creativity and inventiveness of our independent learners within the social context of play, further providing children with opportunities for deeper learning. We strive to encourage each child and the group as a whole, to develop a respect for the environment within the Pre-school, with wider community and the world beyond.
